National Cup IX Regional titles claimed in Seattle

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Another 49 teams added their names to the list of 2010 National Cup IX Regional champions as Regional tournaments finished up Tuesday in Winston-Salem, N.C., Pittsgrove, N.J. (Girls) and Seattle. More than half of those championships were awarded in Seattle, where 25 Regional titles were handed out during the event.

Crossfire 95A Crowned Regional Champions
(June 30, 2010) Albuquerque, New Mexico. Congratulations to Crossfire Premier B95A team who overcame the strongest BU14 teams in the West to become the reigning Region IV Champions. Going into the Final game with a record of 5-0-0 (Goals For 17, Goals Against 4) with wins over NM Striker FC, AK North Pole Cyclones, NV Neusport FC 96 Green, ID Boise Nationals Celtic, and CalN Santa Clara Sporting 95. In the final, they topped Oregon’s WSM Galacticos 2-0.

Inaugural Crossfire Premier Residential Camp
The Inaugural Crossfire Premier Residential Camp will be held from August 15-20 at the beautiful setting of Camp Casey on Whidbey Island. Players will recieve 5 full days of instruction from top level Crossfire Premier Coaches. Campers will have two training session and a game each day. Reyna Outlines Plan for U.S. Youth Soccer
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP)—The only way the United States will catch up to the rest of the soccer world is by starting young.
That’s the message Claudio Reyna delivered to a group of youth coaches Tuesday. Recently hired as the U.S. Soccer youth technical director, Reyna outlined a national curriculum for developing players through all levels of American soccer.
